Senior Walking Program
Many seniors want to stay active but may feel isolated, uncertain about safety, or lack motivation to walk alone.
Here For The Miles addresses these challenges with weekly or twice-weekly scheduled group walks for your community members.
Participants walk together at a comfortable pace, improving both mobility and social connections and making staying active sustainable.
What's included:
-
On-site walks at your facility – We come to you, no transportation needed
Weekly or twice-weekly guided walks – 1-3 miles and can be adjusted based on your members' capabilities
Post-walk group stretch – 10 minutes of guided stretching to improve flexibility and prevent injury
Refreshments provided – Hydration and light snacks after each session
Sessions last about 60-90 minutes.

I grew up as a gymnast and competitive cheerleader, but after college I lost my way. My activity levels dropped, my nutrition slipped, and I struggled with depression. In 2019, I decided to make a change and began my health and fitness journey, learning what truly worked for me through ups and downs along the way.
Walking became a regular part of my routine in 2024, and it completely changed my perspective. I discovered that consistent walking not only improved my physical health, but also boosted my mood and overall well-being.
Now, I love sharing the benefits of walking and helping others feel stronger, connected, and excited about movement.
“Joined the January 50 Mile Walk Challenge and Ieisha is such a great encouragement! Makes me definitely want to hit that 50 mile marker BEFORE end of January!”

“I’m proud that I’ve been able to comfortably walk more than a mile in one workout. Before joining this community, that was my max, but now I don’t start feeling tired until I’ve hit at least 1.5 miles.”

“Ieisha is phenomenal! She is the perfect representation of what you need to build a healthy relationship with self care.”
